I don't have a meaningful definition for it, it really is just the general vibe of the place. If people are generally happy and upbeat, they're more productive. I don't place much stock in the whole idea that each organization needs to have some overarching ethos guiding its every move. All you need is reasonable expectations and human decency.

Culture is a buzzword people like to throw around to make it seem like they care about the well being of their employees. That is rarely true in my experience.
