Personally, I don't think it should be easier to use facial recognition or license plate readers. I understand that it can be helpful for things like security, but I think it also has potential to infringe on people's privacy.
I believe it should be easier to use facial recognition and license plate readers as law enforcers, but with caution. As a former police officer, I know firsthand how much time and energy it can save in identifying suspects. However, I also understand the potential for misuse and so it should only be employed if reasonable measures are taken to ensure the accuracy of the data and to ensure the safety of citizens.
