Hello People,
I received a verbal offer letter from Oracle. I said yes and things moved on. BGV was initiated as well. BUT, Yesterday I received a call from the hiring manager that Oracle is putting hiring freeze, so they are not able to release offer letter as 1 approval was still pending from the VP. He said I will be contacted once freeze is over. Do you think I still have any chances of getting in once the freeze is lifted and how long the freezes are in Oracle ? Oracle

You're over thinking it.

As an interviewer, I actually prefer Monday because it’s a slower day for me as my busy days are T - Th.
I don’t think there’s really any “bad day” (except maybe Friday because people are just waiting for the weekend). Every company and interviewer is going to be different, and rescheduling because you don’t like the day of the week isn’t a good enough reason imo. From the other side, a lot of people usually book blocks of time in specific days just for interviews and rescheduling may run the risk of pushing it even further out.
You may be overthinking it, so I wouldn’t worry. Just prep and do your best - and good luck!
Thank you for the encouraging words! Funny you mentioned Friday as a possible bad day because a friend of mine tries to schedule all his interview calls on Friday as he believes people are usually in a better mood lol
I think you are right— every company and interviewer will be different! I will keep my current schedule. Thanks again for your input!
Nope, not at all. Just prepare for the interview and do your best. They won't even consider your reason for rescheduling the interview. You can do it! Best of luck.

Always take the first available schedule. The first candidate usually sets the bar.
