Career advice that I give to the people I manage- do one more thing everyday that you weren’t going to do or didn’t feel like doing- for your team or for your client. Could be notes, a follow up, a reminder, raising your hand to tackle and drive something-whatever. That little extra effort against something you didn’t “have” to do, every day, overtime will make you invaluable

For those of you in healthcare related account management, what is your healthcare background? I am clinical and getting ready to hire a higher level account manager. I am really biased toward people with clinical/in hospital experience because, quite frankly, healthcare is a different beast - lots of hand holding and change management. I don’t want to miss the right person because of my bias, so im wondering how many healthcare related AMs have healthcare/clinical experience… thanks in advance!

My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.

Best way to learn about controls for the Audit exam? i don’t do much with them at work so i don’t have any real life experience on it.

Anyone switched from Becker to Wiley and regretted it? I did and though I appreciate the bite-sized lectures, I don't enjoy it as much as Becker. Probably for jobs outside of FAANG - more like when you're feeling out the place. So a company I interviewed with took me to the final round but rejected me for an architect role. Then, two months later the hiring manager hits me up for a manager role he thought I would be a good fit before the job was posted. We had a call and he said he thought I would be a long shot replying back to him. Also, he said everyone liked me and no need to interview. He said he has to post it and let HR do their thing before he can make a final decision. Why post a job if you want me for it?
