Does anyone do First Party Property work? Considering a position at firm that does PI and FPP, but I don’t know much about what FPP entails. Is it volume or do the cases settle for decent amounts? What is your comp/structure?

FFP is like a lot of practices the bottom feeder cases are terrible but there are a lot of very lucrative FFP cases with bad faith exposure that can be huge money makers. If you are doing low level slip and fall PI work, similar quality FFP work is also going to suck.

FPP in my state’s biggest ID firm so other side of the aisle. It’s very firm dependent. Lots of places pay below market for ID work. My case load is close to 60 and most days I’m reactionary instead of pro-active. If you can do sinkholes fees and costs can get pretty large. Cases drag for YEARS (4-10 year old claims are the norm).

If it's homeowners insurance cases then that's a total drag. And find out if the firm does work for citizens. If it does run and never look back

In an auto accident trial, can you inform the jury in any way that the at-fault driver had insurance? Question from a non-PI lawyer, if there is a car accident that causes a major injury or even death to a passenger at the fault of the driver, how far will the civil liability go for the driver? If the driver is an adult, could the plaintiff/their estate go after future earnings? Could they go after the driver’s family for recovery? Or would it just be limited to the insurance policy?
