Mines dummy simple. I write three significant goals I want done for the day. Write it on a physical piece of paper or notebook. Scratch them off as you go. Anything that doesn’t get done you write the same one the next day.
I get the same feeling of putting out 100 little fires throughout the day but if I have those three things I’m pushing towards it helps. Eventually you get tired of rewriting them and make it a point to get it done.
D1 nailed it. I do the same but usually with about 5 things or if I have blocks of time, will add more. This is the core idea behind the bullet journal philosophy. You keep writing and repeating until it’s done or you eliminate it.
Yeah I do a similar thing, and prioritize what absolutely has to happen by the end of the day, followed by what's a hot potato I can pass off. It helps me to break down the bigger items into pieces and just knock out a few pieces at the start of the day.
Then when daily fires pop up I try not to jump right in, but instead put them on my list. Most days that works!
Plus the ADHD medication helps. 😏
