If you've planned it well in advance and submitted all your time off requests and gotten approved, I honestly wouldn't feel so guilty. There's always gonna be some reason to not take the vacation, but you don't want to waste your entire life waiting for the perfect conditions to take time off.
I do feel bad leaving during something like that, but you already give so much time to work, how much more do we have to give? Set your team up for success before you leave and enjoy the time off.
Take the time off and don't worry about feeling guilty. I assume it was all approved, it's not like you're just not going to show up unannounced and leave them shorthanded. You’ll regret not taking it more than taking it. Set yourself up with delegates and make a clear action list for your boss to cover you. You’re not that important to the company or your study that it will fall apart after one week without you. If you are, you’re not making enough money. 😉
