Rising Star
I was told by one colleague years ago that having 2 is very necessary because if you are ever involved in a malpractice claim, your entire phone would be discoverable.
That said I have asked a lot of folks about it since then and I have not met anyone else who doesn’t. I’m told it’s solely due to convenience.
Rising Star
I haven’t met anyone who *does it.
I kept my old phone when I upgraded, reset to factory settings, and installed only work related apps. I have mixed feelings about it but would side of preferring two phones.
Take into consideration how you carry your current phone and whether you want to double up on that
Yes. 1000x yes
Dude sounds fun at parties
Have always had a completely separate phone for the practice, and always will.
I’ve had my same cell number for 25 years so I’m way past being able to separate. But I tell my college age kid to get a separate work phone when he gets to the work world. Once the ship sails - all clients have your cell phone number etc - it’s too late. So start a career with two phones. Of course I’m a partner with a lot of clients who is always available to
Clients so not entirely sure what it would accomplish at this point.

Second phone all day. Work pays for it. It helps with WLB and makes me be more intentional about when I’m workings vs not.
