Does anyone know a good source for a claw on ADA Compliance? Our studio team has to get up to speed quickly on how to make collateral and webpages meet the guidelines and we’re not having luck finding a comprehensive resource that outlines what had to be done and how to do it in Adobe products. Thank you in advance!

Honestly, if you don’t what you are doing... you need an accessibility audit. And there are thousands of consultancy’s that can do that.

We have no clue and this is for a new client. Is there a class we can take to learn what to do? We know the audit is gonna show that we are not passing right not as things are configured

Oof. Prepare to watch all the finesse in your design go out the window. We manually check everything - there are online color contrast checkers that will tell you whether your colors are AA or AAA compliant.

The ADA guidelines are pretty vague, we've found we can get away with font size 14/16 at a minimum. And if you're building websites/emails - alt text is your best friend.

I'm interested to see if anyone has any fullproof resources. It's been a year or so since we fully bit the bullet, and it's been pretty trial and error for us.

And that doesn’t even address half of it. Many accessibility requirements are in the code or metadata.

We used a color contrast checker for the most part for color blindness, though we definitely could’ve done more. This site has a ton of resources for accessible design:

Just as a heads up, there are also some light copy flags (like “see XXXX” in CTAs) that our team has had to watch our for. But they’ve almost exclusively been applicable to web!

It’s hard. You end up compromising a lot.
Think about maybe having alt site or clicks for ADA -ready material. The color contrast part is tough!
