All - I am on a large project (100+ people) a consultant that was combative to me (and in email) and did poor work is now likely going to be brought on to another work stream that I will be tangentially related too. I’m trying to be an adult about this but I’m just so upset people get away with things and come back. I was his Manager. It was a poor fit but his behavior was inexcusable and when I talked to his CC he was not surprised (pattern of behavior). Don’t know what I’m asking just advice.

Hi everyone! New to the bowl. I have major ADHD, and have been on and off medicine. Although the medicine (adderal) helps me, I get VERY moody, mean, and easily irritated. I get so mean and moody that my boyfriend and I almost break up every time. Any suggestions on how to deal with this side effect while on adderal?

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

How have people in this community found the shift to leadership. In my personal experience I found individual contribution tough but then did much much better as a people / team leader. Is this just me or reflective of the broader group here?

Need to brag- for the first time in my life, my performance review says "very organized".

First year medicated, I knew it was making a difference for me but seeing the evidence on paper is still crazy.

I’m prescribed Ritalin XR 40mg and when I take it ~10AM I feel great (talkative + focused). Then around 4PM my head feels tight, eyes feel dry, I get monotone and sound depressed…

Anyone go through a similar reaction?

I started taking Adderal, 2.5 g which is not really a lot. It didn’t really help with my focus, instead I felt restless and somehow nervous and really thirsty. And it made me clench my teeth. I do grind my teeth during nighttime but never experienced this in the daytime. Does it take time to get used to it?

Does anyone here believe or has been diagnosed with comorbid BPD (borderline personality disorder)? If so, what did you do or would recommend to manage your life with this disorder? I seem to exhibit several symptoms and will definitely speak to a shrink soon. Here to get more perspective and some helpful tips.

I’ve had enough. I may or may not have ADHD but I damn think so, as well as people I’ve talked to about it. I know I am smart and can accomplish certain things/tasks, but I literally just can’t get my mind to it sometimes. It was bad in college and only got worse since I started working. Newly diagnosed & medicated and new to consulting.
I’m great with clients but getting bad evaluations because I’m slow to produce work and don’t take time to communicate status.
I’m trying really hard but I keep getting stuck in perfection loops and scared to share things before they’re perfect.
