Have brought in small clients in the past but this one is a big one and huge for the group and the firm. I’m not exactly doing this out of the goodness of my heart so would appreciate any advice on how to navigate the conversation. For reference, client specifically brought their work to my group so that they could work with me and it’s a personal contact of mine.

This will likely come across as an odd question but I’m Canadian so it’s common to be bilingual (English/French) and work in a bilingual capacity or role. I was hired for an English position but a year in I offered to temporarily help in a bilingual capacity as my department was severely short staffed. As it’s perpetually been short staffed for 4 years I haven’t been able to get out of the bilingual role and I have become burned out working in a second language. How can I bring this up?

Do you think it’s better to go to immediately go a firm that’s beyond your skillset or work your way up to that firm? For example, going to a T2 firm as an experienced hire having never done consulting without or starting at a smaller consulting firm and then going to T2/MBB?
