Former associate. I would get market base salary and then 2/3rd market bonus. My life there was considerably better than the other firm I worked for so I was fine with it.
Not big law
I recently saw a job posting and it seemed like they paid market up to at least year six.

WHOOOOO?????

No, they definitely do not pay market. The bonuses are probably in line with their peer firms.
Ugh, someone messaged me and said they do? I’m so confused. Aside from bonus, do they pay market base comp?
Coach
There are many firms that pay market base comp for the first year and then have a compressed scale. I'm guessing that's the answer since I'm confident they are not paying market base to senior associates. Only a handful of firms are actually paying senior associates on the cravath scale.
They pay market for base salaries. Their bonuses are discretionary and often times are not market.
This. Former associate there.

Yes, they pay market base salaries across class years.
