I am serving notice period in TCS currently. They tried to retain me saying they will give 20% hike and onsite opportunity
Yes for me also 20% includes variable pay. Plus health insurance premium will be increased. So in hand hike will be max 10%
Probably mindtree doesn't care currently
TCS retains employees (junior to mid senior) by offering 20-30% hike.
No one cares
No one cares for employees. They only retain employees for their business
Retention is purely subjective and there are many factors. Two members resigned in our team, one was let go as performance was seen as average anyway and not worth retaining. Other one was very good, he was promised to match pay and rotation within 3-6 months to a different team as he was quite skilled and company did not want to loose him and he gave role/job fatigue as one of his reasons.
P.s. he was rotated in the promised timeline.
Missed to add, it was mutally agreed to rotate him also because the project could not bear his increased cost, so another project which was looking to hire outside for higher pay, took him in instead
I was offered 30% by Infy to be retained. They said they can't do more than this for now
