Does outlook really send scheduled messages if your pc is turned off? I tried doing this a couple times scheduled for the AM so people wouldnt have to receive emails late at night but it never works

I don’t think it sends them if you’re not on outlook

like

You need to be connected

like

EY2 - it doesn’t.

Use the web version if you want to delay a message. Then it doesn't matter if your PC is on or off.

You’re computer has to be on and outlook open for delayed delivery to work.

like

This. Although your computer can be locked and they’ll still go out.

Your computer has to be on and connected to the internet, can’t be in sleep mode either.

If you use the web outlook then it will send regardless of whether your computer is on or not.

What’s the issue with sending emails at night? I see no point in pretending you’re not working when you are.

Let me rephrase.... it seems like you’re going to a lot of trouble to not *bother* anyone. People elect their own push notifications and if someone doesn’t want late night emails let them handle it. People can also have opinions on working hours. However, delaying emails = delaying a response to your email. It is in everyone’s best interest that you either ignore whatever pressure you’re getting or discuss it with that person. No one should care when you work and you’re complicating a non issue. If someone cares that is their problem. Period.

For the first time in my life, I know what I’m supposed to do at my job, with relationships around me and it’s all because the enormous sense of anxiety I used to experience evaporated during quarantine. I didn’t know that I lived with so much anxiety that it crippled me. I didn’t know I needed this time to myself.

Hello Everyone. Please let me know whether Infosys is actually giving permanent WFH. What about next year or next to next year?

Hi Friends,
Me and my girlfriend both live in the same city, working from home, living with our respective families.

Before covid and wfh, we were in gurgaon and we used to go to each other's places to have some "private time"

It looks like a distant luxury now.
Any ideas of what can be done? Anyone facing a similar issue who got any resolution?
