I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Not 100%, but surely 50+ if your salary less compared to your peers, I have seen some people getting 60% with tier 3, and 5% with tier 1 ratings. Because those tier 1 already had the max salary as per range. If you are lower balled during offer, ask for a salary revisit in mid year. Atleast my competency does it. Management consulting at AC bangalore

I am trying to make sense out of this post but I am not able to. Probably you are asking a wrong question but with right concern.
Did you get paid less when you join the firm and expecting salary correction ?
No firm can afford to give 100% salary hike to their employees. Very hypothetically speaking, firm should have around 300-500% more profit/growth over years to give a 100% hike (not that it is that simple of math but just my random guess) to their staff.
You think any firm, forget about PWC, can have such a massive control on the market to have such crazy growth over years ? Even Apple, supposedly the most valued brand in the world, has hardly 20% yoy growth. And, you are talking about a firm in professional services industry (which is very hard to penetrate into but can easily be vanished).
I agree with you, but I haven't compared within my team but as per market research I realized. Also, during hiring HR gave a raise as per my last CTC (that too was not a satisfactory pay as per my skills). So it continued here too.!
