I haven’t had a raise more than 4% in decades unless it’s due to a job switch.
Neither bonuses nor raises fluctuate much. Bonus has been between $7-8k past couple years, increases capped between 3-4%. Every last dollar helps, but damn does review season make me jealous of my friends who went into tech.
Same here! Feels so difficult to make significant progress with 3-4% merit increases
Rising Star
Merit increases is between 2-6% and bonuses are between $12-25k
This isn’t bad! May I ask what company you work for?
Merit always fluctuates as bonus level. The size of the company depends how big the bonus is. A manager at Valero energy gets 22.5% bonus. An assistant credit Manager is 12.5%. then from that comes a multiplier by how the company did. So they did really well you get way more than 100% of that amount, but they did not as well then you wouldn't get the full bonus value.
To add to that, at Valero Energy, Non-degreed coropate position is 6% bonus, then supervisors get the same rate as an assistant manager. Then at the Director, non executive, level you also get stock. No flexible schedule or work from home.
