Anyone on bench reporting to airoli office?
Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.

Ur bench number is wrong... Bench number is 1000+ I can assure u that
I have heard that a guy in TCS was on the bench for 2+ years and he was about to be promoted to Senior Software Engineer. Idk why he didn't leave.
Many years back i heard they have benchers for a year even in IBM (though rare).
But they get reduced pay in TCS then.

In Pune location 2000+ peoples are in bench and not getting project and they are sending termination letter before the aging has been started, I shared my experience. I resigned 1 week before. Forcefully they said me to give resign. My skill set is in Full Stack Java Developer but they were telling that take BPO job else resign within a week.

I know people are on bench for 4 months.
It's half knowledge..people who joined CTS after college are being given 2years where their bench count will not increase..for other people,bench count starts increasing even on Sat sun..although they don't have much projects so most of the people switching or being silently laid off
I have been on the bench for almost 10 months.
All they will ask you to upskill. Those who fail then only they ask to resign

I met a guy in office today (infosys), he joined as a fresher in 2022 and since then he's on bench. On the other hand there's news of silent layoffs in office.
Don't worry. They need people so they dont ask for resign

It’s only people with higher salary brackets, and in Associate and above designations who are asked to leave.
When I was in Cognizant, PA and below could continue on bench for as many days as they would want.
Has this changed recently???
Also, why is Cognizant in such a bad shape?
Earlier, it was one of the most prestigious amongst all service IT companies…

Bcoz Cognizant is not having projects. American CEO was fired and Indian CEO has been appointed ,so from Employees perspective cognizant has gone down but from Shareholders perspective its a good sign as Indian CEO is completely changing cognizant to Indian shop
500 is a too less number of people on bench..looks like it's atleast 10times more people in bench in total..(approx figures)
@Engineer 1: Cognizant may have several other reasons for not doing well. But the point about this Indian/American thing is completely wrong. Why? The CEO who was asked to step down was Irish, not American. The current CEO is American, as American as Satya Nadella of Microsoft. An man of Indian origin can also be American right?
