It is absolutely your right. The whole point of an interview process is to determine mutual fit. You can't assess fit without that information. Ask. They expect it.

It’s all in how you ask, not what you ask. Be polite, frame it as curiosity, and make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Promotions show you want to stick around and grow there. That’s not a bad thing.
