Is it worth it to take a small paycut to get the title of AE? I have the opportunity to move into an AE role at 2 new startups but both would be about a 20% pay cut from what I expect to make this year. Is it worth it to take the jump and get the job title?

Had my 2nd interview with the hiring manager this past Friday & sent a thank you shortly after. It's now Tuesday (for those who see this on another day). At the end of the interview he said they've had other people who were interested but only one other person besides me were they considering. Got a verbal offer from Amazon and was wondering - is there a chance of increasing your base salary rate within the first 3 years, or am I essentially locked in? Offer was pretty low for an L6 (was previously inclined at L7 and TC is almost 40% lower)

Does it seem crazy to you that gambling in most states is illegal but we can buy short term option contracts. It’s crazy I can’t go put $20 on Black at a casino but can buy 5k of a same day spy contract.
