Can anyone here give a referral?
Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.
I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

So, this happened to me. At first I was annoyed because it was supposed to be a shared responsibility. The other admins always seemed to find a reason to be working "from home" during these events. Every month I helped organize a lunch that included a "surprise" dessert and a game for our team to play. The rule was no shop talk. It was a lot of work. Especially the game portion. About 6 months in nearly the entire team was participating. They would talk each other into making sure their calendars were open for this lunch. Never any other admins showed up. But the rapport I was building with my team and ALL the leadership was priceless. I was tapped for special projects...these were projects that I felt I had ZERO business being part of...they all believed in me and saw that I was capable of a lot more than I was doing. Everyone on that team treated me like a valuable team member not just their leadership admin. I was invited to outside events and the way they viewed admins started to change. When our company went through major layoffs, I ended up on that list. Every person on my team made sure to leave a recommendation on my LinkedIn page and they all gave me their contact information so I could use them as a reference. As a result, I picked up another position that I really wanted and it was a pay bump of $25k/year. The moral, it might seem like not much or agitating but they are all paying attention.
This is rare but pleased they recognized you.
It might not be your job but if you ask they might covertly decide it is and has always been your job. This is why I advise all women to never do any emotional labor that you will never be paid for and will not be reflected in your raise or performance. At best they'll say, "she's nice" and fail to recognize the intelligence and hard work and risk you mitigate.
I’m afraid it’s the price of being an administrative assistant- sadly. I have found that experience too.

I personally don't mind just for the excater points haha. But if it's not in your job description, you're going to need to voice that someone else needs to step up. Who is asking you to do it? It's it your boss or someone else?
If you're the assistant in the department that could just be part of your job. If you have a problem with it, talk to your manager and say you're tired of doing it. Depending on the circumstances, however, that may be one of your responsibilities.
Or maybe be someone else steps up so she can enjoy herself.
