VERY briefly worked there. Left within weeks because it was pretty clear they were peddling a soft-borderline-pseudo science.
People respond emotionally to emotional advertising. Sure. Props for building an entire company around a big “no shit”.
It’s market research. It’s all pseudoscience lol.
Yup. It’s hitting different emojis while watching an ad. That’s it.
It’s amazing that clients keep buying this BS. It’s all based on synthetic data and there’s no statistical significance. They wouldn’t be able to tell you what moving from say a 3.9 to a 4.5 looks like in terms of distribution of that data. It’s all just a smokescreen. Don’t get me started on the many cases where an animatic has been run twice and received entirely different results. This happened to my friend at another big agency over and over.
They are fraud. As the Business Lead I have to clench my jaw when clients insist on using them.
