Surprised by all the responses here saying this is low, because it really depends on practice. I think this offer is pretty fair for FSO Advisory. Now obviously practices hiring MBAs (Strategy, etc.) are on different pay bands, than those that do not (I.e Cyber, IT Advisory, Risk Advisory, etc.). For example, my practice does not hire MBA grads and this offer is very much inline with what my practice pays for M3s. You can always try to come in at M4 or M5 if you have the years of experience to justify it, I’ve seen experienced industry hires come in at M4 or M5 so they come in at higher salaries.
I would do M4 at 180k. Try posting another thread to gauge PI Manager salaries from folks in PI- because even in PI salaries can vary depending on the sub service lines within PI but you’ll still get a more accurate idea. I’m not in PI
You really want to work for partners that can’t even give an extra 10k in a tier 1 city for an M3, which should be in the path to become a SM and sell things for them?
Not an M or I’d tell you! Only have visibility up to SC and that’s common knowledge
You're current title is VP and you're only going into a $165k offer. Seems really low for me, especially for city living. But money isn't everything.
Where do you work now? Thanks for the input.
