Filling out a conflicts form and at my current firm, where I've been working for barely more than a year, I have billed to 475 matters/apps spread out over 20 clients. 🫠 yet I still feel like I did more at my last firm but idk.

No way I'm filling out a separate entry for each patent app. I'll just fill out one for each client.

This is the way.

How do you get 475 OA responses + apps in within a year? Sounds brutal.

Hence the conflicts form. I'm bouncing. To be fair, I'd estimate that about 10 or so of those are general matters or opinion work where I'm analyzing a portfolio or providing general advice.

Edit: and maybe 50 or so of those were random one-off tasks while covering for some else? (e.g., looking at conversion forms or national stage forms but never prosecuting them later, looking into a dead inventor issue, grabbing a few IDSes when someone else was slammed, etc.)

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

Hello! I’m a law student who’s graduating in 2023 from a top Canadian law school. I’m open to any corporate transactional work. Thank-you!

Does anyone find an attack on the Examiner’s prima facia showing of obviousness a lot more effective than distinguishing each and every prior art reference.

I recently underwrote a reply to final. Didn’t even bother with the references since I just got the case. Overcame the rejections.

Can anyone comment on how effective this is?
