The tenant moved in last week and I haven't heard anything - should I call him (property manager) to double check everything is okay, if they have any questions I can help with or anything? Or is this normal and I shouldn't expect to hear anything unless something goes wonky? Or should I expect him to have given me an update at check in? Trying to make sure I'm not micromanaging, but also understand where/when I should check in...

Is it just in my experience or are recruiters/hiring managers really reluctant these days to discuss salary bands for a given role? My logic for asking is to determine if I should consider a given role or pass if doesn't meet my salary requirements rather than continue additional interviews and find out later. Thoughts?

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? After being mugged and having my things (including my keys) stolen, I was locked out of my townhome after business hours on a weekend. I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!

I’m pretty responsive for things they need help with like laundry machine got broken or pantry doors fell off. So I had sent people to fix those maintenance and repair issues.
