Leave the family, go through pre check by yourself
That's the best move. Just get there early enough to get through the security line.
I would drive and teach my family to sing in four part harmonies. The drive will fly by.
ATL has Amex Plat lounge, it’s quite nice - I would fly, the drive is kinda long with a full car.
If you aren’t checking bags go through the international security lines. Much shorter.
you can still check bags there if you're flying Delta.
It’s not worse than normal busy weeks around spring break and peak summer holidays.
Can you purchase fast lane for your family members thru the airline or opt in for digital ID at ATL. That line is usually shorter than TSA pre and clear! Or buy them all clear it’s not much to add family and they often have two free pass offers for sign up. Good luck. I’d rather fly from ATL than drive to Miami
YMMV, but I've booked family (incl. extended family) and my pre-check applied to all of their tickets when we got our boarding passeS.
If you’re not transferring, then it’s fine. But I would suggest your family drive while you fly - although it’s not hard to get everyone pre-check.
Are you checking bags? Go through the international terminal if not
