sunday night
5:30 would be my latest time to get there
Agreed EY2
Monday is always busy and if you don’t have pre-check it may be worse (sometime makes no difference)
You should arrive at the Airport latest by 5:45am as it may take you more than 30 minutes to go through security with your flight boarding at 6:30am
6:15 should be safe with precheck assuming you’ve checked in on the app and aren’t checking a bag. I’d probably cut it closer than that (6:30-6:40) depending on the distance between the pre-check checkpoint and the gate but don’t necessarily recommend you follow my lead. Doesn’t really matter what time boarding starts, only matters that boarding ends 10 minutes before departure, so 6:50 is the deadline to get to the gate. The 5:30 and 5:45 a.m. suggestions seem overly conservative given you can even check in at the airport check-in counter and check a bag in up to 6:15 am
Fair points, EY1. Maybe get there earlier your first time and get a feel for how long it takes you. And sign up for a status challenge and pre-check (or global entry, which includes pre-check, if you anticipate any material amount of international travel in the next five years, though be aware that global entry application processing time is running a couple of months longer than pre-check at the moment).
6 am
Second this. I usually arrive to Terminal A at 6 and get to my gate with a few minutes to spare before 6:30 boarding. The pre-check line will be long, but don’t freak, it goes quickly.
I have a 730 flight every Monday out of DFW and I get there around 615
Precheck of course
Some disparities in the responses, but thanks fish fam!! I will probably arrive at 5:45 am. I have pre check and it’s pretty much the median of people’s responses
