United every time
If you care mostly about points United is no question the way to go.
Hey McK, what’s your reasoning behind that?
United pretty much goes anywhere from ORD, but the better question is where are you normally going? How often are you going to the same place? Do you care about lounge access? Do you play the credit card game? And lastly, do you value status over points?
IMO United as an airline is garbage, but most other airlines are only slightly better in the US (notable exceptions are Alaska and Southwest). Also, delta flies out of both Midway and ORD, so keep that in mind.
Hitachi. I care more about points redemption for my vacation. So United is the way to go? Also, I usually just fly to major cities like NYC or SF.
Op, if you can work delta out, I would do that. Get an Amex plat, bank the 5x travel points, double dip with SPG and delta, and use airport lounge access while you are at it!
Delta is very small at ORD, so you'll be limited in destinations and times. UA/AA comprise 85% off domestic traffic.
United. Can get everywhere in 1 flight unless it’s a remote place.
