I am not in HR, but I am pretty sure part of the background check involves confirming your employment tenure with the companies you have in your resume. If your resume states ‘ABC Company from Jan 2023 to date’ that should be fine i.e. assuming you are still employed or serving your notice period. I don’t think they match exact dates, but likely month and year to ensure you have not misrepresented anything in your resume.
Yes! You typically have to apply all employment start and finish date, ensuring there are no gaps and if there are, be able to speak to it, such as collecting unemployment. Any gaps will present a red flag especially if the dates don’t line up. They will request additional information if so, this, delay your investigation.
My cv says to date - will they ask your employer for confirmation of my end date with the company ?
Need some help to put my mind at ease
All the best!
