For a background check will they ask your current employer the last date you are with a current employer or how does it work ? Would be grateful if someone could confirm.

I am not in HR, but I am pretty sure part of the background check involves confirming your employment tenure with the companies you have in your resume. If your resume states ‘ABC Company from Jan 2023 to date’ that should be fine i.e. assuming you are still employed or serving your notice period. I don’t think they match exact dates, but likely month and year to ensure you have not misrepresented anything in your resume.

Yes! You typically have to apply all employment start and finish date, ensuring there are no gaps and if there are, be able to speak to it, such as collecting unemployment. Any gaps will present a red flag especially if the dates don’t line up. They will request additional information if so, this, delay your investigation.

My cv says to date - will they ask your employer for confirmation of my end date with the company ?

Need some help to put my mind at ease

All the best!

Just received an offer I’m pretty excited about. On H1B with an approved I140 (since 2017). Planning to start at the new company by end of July. Any best practices to keep in mind? Specifically on what to communicate with /ask from the new organization (they are open to transferring), when is it safe to resign from Deloitte, anything around the gc process with the new firm etc.? Thanks a lot in advance 🐠 family!

I found using GoFormative’s free version to be very helpful in teaching new topics to my students. I embed videos I make demonstrating how to complete a question, next I ask them to complete an example showing work, and then the next question they type their answer so it automatically alerts them to see if they answered correctly. It can be used live in a meet and on an independent virtual day. In my google meets, I’m able to give feedback on any question they have trouble with in real time.

I finally was able to convince my principal that we need a consistent math intervention at the MS level (grades 5-8). (Right now, we are just "doing our own thing," which isn't helping students progress much.) Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be beneficial to have some sort of progress monitoring tool as part of the program, if possible. Our classes run roughly 55 minutes (which is too long for an intervention, in my humble opinion).

Thanks for any advice.
