For those who changed your name. How many official copies of your wedding license did you need, or did most places accept a copy or just making a copy of the official copy you brought with you?

I requested 5 and have only used 1-2

Same

I think I only needed two honestly. I don't remember ever needing more than that but I have been married for ten years now haha. I would get like 5 copies just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the feedback. It appears it is not like death certificates and letters of testament where everyone wants to keep an original.

My word, if you travel alot and use TSA-pre, this is such a logistical nightmare.

What misconceptions do you think people have about social work? or therapy?
Mine is my family still believes that only "sick" or unhappy people need to see a therapist, so they don't understand why I go to one since I have a job and a family. It's oldschool thinking and pretty annoying tbh.

We decided to do a photo session before the wedding for the two of us and family. The photographer and the location were amazing but the makeup was terrible, and because I was low on time, I couldn't fix it before the photos. The makeup artist make me look yellow! Idk if there's anything that could be done at this point, but feeling so disappointed :(

I’m excited for my wedding but it’s almost 9 months away and I started planning it over a year ago. However, whenever I’m around friends/family it’s the only thing people want to talk to me about. It’s constant and generally there’s not many updates to give & I’d just rather talk about other things. I work full time & I’m in school right now so I’m stressed about those things and I don’t know how to communicate that I’d just rather not talk about the wedding without sounding ungrateful/happy

Thoughts on kindly asking your bridesmaids to please not give a gift? I am over the moon excited that my bridesmaids will be celebrating me and traveling for the wedding and bachelorette. I really do not want a gift from them at the wedding. Full disclosure, my fiancé and I have great paying jobs and my bridesmaids are grad students, artists, and teachers. How would you frame this? Even if they were millionaires I would not want a gift, but I don’t want it taken the wrong way.
