Agree with M1. Also MBAs arenât equally valued across industries
Is your PT MBA from a top 15-20 program? If not, having an MBA will have no demonstrative impact on your salary offered when jumping.
This is a straightforward request, not sure why youre not getting better responses
If youâre at a top 15-20 school with campus recruiting, youâll get what the research shows for an offer (e.g., mgmt consulted.) if youâre not at one of those schools, itâs whatever you can convince a company youâre worth.
Standard pay package for target MBAs. Just Google it
This is the answer. Pay at post mba level is easily googled. Though coming from a PT program may make it more difficult to achieve
Post mba salary should be around 150. I joined Alix at a slightly higher amount
Itâs 160+ perhaps $165k this year. Thereâs one offer for all MBAs this year regardless of full time/part time or community(EI/TRS$, but I donât know the exact dollar amount,
You wonât have that same recruiting pipeline that comes explicitly from the top ~ 20, full-time, in-person business schools and their relationships with top firms. Even at those same schools, if youâre not in the FT MBA youâre probably not being included in the same recruiting events (I could be wrong and my knowledge is a handful of years outdated at this point admittedly).
So the MBA certainly helps your resume and your market value in industries that seek it (like consulting), and itâs a personal achievement with its own intangible benefits, accomplishment, network, etc. But you definitely wonât reach those very specific, very competitive, $160 ~ 170k traditional style recruiting figures unless you know for sure your school offers you a way to participate in those opportunities. For example the slots allotted for b-school recruits each year for Deloitte legacy S&O SCs which I think were like $165k last cycle? That figure is far and away above what a typical SC makes, even with relevant masters and certs, even MBAs if they didnât come through those target school pipelines.
Hopefully schools will continue to make progress in this space though! Let me know if this makes sense? PS spoken as a PT, top 20 MBA.
I went through a T20 PT MBA program as well. We had access to all the same recruiting events as the FT program, but finding time was always a challenge.
I don't even remember the excuses I came up with for super days, networking events, etc.
Agreed with M1 and C1. I also got my mba PT but from a top 15 program.
Do your on campus recruiting program. If you get a better offer, take it. If not, donât.
