Good for you. Reddit is that way 👉
Which park?
My timing could be off, but if you woke up on Jan 3, read about the Venezuela stuff and then opted to reach for your phone and post this on fishbowl....that's incredible.....
Wow. A comment more obnoxious than this post. You’ve outdone yourself! 👏
I’ll bite. Why did you make this post?
So people could ask me stuff about my time behind the scenes as a cast member. I went from crowd management to being various characters and I’ve got the tea if yall got the cups 😂
What’s the single most applicable lesson, skill or trait from Disney cast to advertising ACD? (ikik, boring in earnest q but f it, I wanna learn!)
^ this is so spot on. It’s all about knowing your shit. I played Aladdin a couple of times and had to know the characters personality and backstory forwards and backwards bc you’re constantly drilled by guests.
Did you get your foot in the Ad door wearing yellow shoes?
I did not, no. I only found out about yellow shoes once I was in the industry. The corporate side and the “entertainment” (park) side don’t really interact.

Are adult Disney fans as creepy as I think they are
It’s 50/50. Some are lovely and respectful and some are incredibly demanding. I find Lego adults far worse.
sorry wdym a cast member? can you please elaborate?
I began in crowd control and movement, then worked in character security, then did character and face acting. On days I wasn’t doing character work I filled in on various rides.
What’s your most memorable moment? Good or bad
You’re thinking about the utilidors, which is basically like the back rooms on steroids. It’s a trip the first few times bc it’s really like being backstage, you see regular employees talking to characters and face actors. After awhile it’s just another way to get from point a to point b or c. It’s convenient if you’re in costume or done up.
Did they mess you up like the other child actors?
Nah I was an adult when I started.
What are the Disney park codes for events like hospitals have code blue, white, black etc.
And did you live thru one?
that’s absolutely horrible about jasmine. During my time, whenever a princess is walking around the park, she has at least 3 cast members/security around her for crowd control and to administer space. I worked “character security” before I became a character and anyone touching a character inappropriately was immediately booted, and if they became aggressive we were permitted to use force (it never got to that point). It sounds like security is a lot more lax in Paris.
Where are you now and are they hiring?
I’m at an agency in Chicago. Not sure if we are hiring but it is a new year with new budgets!
