How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?

EY1 - lol, a lot of $$$ tied up in bikes, including the one more I have on an indoor trainer for winter cardio (use Zwift, it’s awesome) if it’s too cold for the fat bike! Oh and I have one more cross-trainer bike for paved trails and mild off road. So yes, an embarrassing 6 bikes in total.... as does my SO. Biking geeks!
Another newbie question. I went for an 8 mile ride over the weekend on some trails and my ass cheeks are still sore. I even have an extra cushion on the seat. What gives? Do I just have fat ass cheeks? Will this get better? Any solutions?
So the tires have a 27.5 frame but because they are fattier and bigger supposedly it equals out to the same as a typical 29frame and tire. I can do that or get the typical 29in.m frame and tire
I live in Colorado as well. I would say strava over mapmyride. Also check out the app mtb project. They have a great coverage of trail systems, status updates and reviews
Oh no don’t feel bad. Yes your skills improve over time, but mud, rocks, roots will occasionally get the best of you!
Never clip when on true mountain trails in case I need to hop off quickly
Did you wear padded bike shorts? If not, invest now. Check out Castelli (top of the line) or Pearl Izumi, etc. perfectly normal to be saddle sore, but padded shorts are essential
It’s just the model name, might have some upgraded shocks and other components but it’s still a full suspension mountain bike at its core
Do you mean 27.5 tire size? I have a 29er and I like it for xc riding but when descending it’s definitely not as fun and doesn’t corner as well
I don’t know about the fatter tire making it feel like a 29er. Never heard of it, but I guess it depends on where you live and what type of riding you’ll be doing. Like I said flatter more xc oriented rides favor the 29er. It rolls over everything. If you want a more nimble option on the downhills go 27.5 but your 27.5 sounds different
Nice! I just started a few months ago. I love it. It's so fun. Way better than any other cardio I've done. I picked up some shoes, gloves, seat cushion, and downloaded mapmyride
I got an entry level Specialized 27.5...$600 -- EY paid for 75% of it (taxable)
Have a Trek 29-er for flat rock/dirt trails and a Specialized full suspension mountain bike for mountain trails and single track rides. Also a Specialized fat bike for winter and Cannondale road bike for summer. They all have their purpose and get used!
Clip less petals if you don’t already have them. If your serious I would get some sort of arm guards and legs. But all depends what “mountains” you’re climbing or trails.
D1, how much in bikes is that?? 🤑
I’ve survived some bloody crashes on my mountain bike so helmets are essential. I don’t bother with arm or shin guards... although after my last wipeout I looked like someone beat me...
D1, where do you live? I'm in Colorado. Some great trails here!
Washington with trips to Montana, Idaho, etc for variety
Last personal thing is if you’re new to biking, start with flat pedals, it will teach you to handle the bike instead of being dependent on your feet being clipped in. Even as a road biker, when I added mtb I spent a year with flags and then moved to clipless
Thank you for all of the advice
