Globallogic has worst leave policy . You are not allowed to take leaves in your notice period not even sick leaves . My notice period got increased to 7 days because i took leaves on occasion of my engagement ceremony . Worst company to work with and i would term it as 'White collar slavery ' . I was part of ericsson project working under sushil gupta . And i was slogging more than 14 hours a day without any appreciation.

This is the norm in most of the companies. No one is allowed leaves in Notice Period.
That is same across the industry.
It depends on the manager mostly and your terms with him, I had taken leaves in Wipro and HCL while being on notice, and no notice extension was there while one of my colleagues got an extension for 8 days of notice(he was in another team but same project in hcl) .
So, numerous policies are there but their implementation is subjective.

At TCS, you can take SL and FL. If you take CL, it will get extended.
It happened to me thrice in companies like TCS , Deloitte,Wells Fargo where my notice period was extended just because I took sick leaves . So this is pretty common across the industry
I'm serving NP in TCS and i can take only sick leaves. You can take sick leaves as they will expire anyway!!.
My notice period too got extended in my previous companies like TCS and Deloitte. I am sure my current company will also do the same
