Hi, I've recently got selected to IBM GBS, and my husband working for PSU I am from Andhrapradesh and IBM location is Chennai. I've 1year baby. Due to this I can't relocate to Chennai. Location constraint:
I have got a very good offer that i cannot deny, but location is Hyderabad, I want this in Bangalore location. I am not onboarded yet, spoke to HR , he said it is not a big problem, Thoughtworks is very flexible.
Currently it is WFH, but once it is back to office.. I dont want to relocate. How easy it is relocate from Hyderabad to Bangalore, Thoughtworks

I would put that explanation in writing in an email and ask him to put it in your performance review. In these times of layoff, a lower rating may be a justification to cut you. “Boss- I wanted to confirm my understanding of my performance rating and salary action. You explained during our debrief today that while I met my kpis and delivered against client expectations, I received a “sometimes meets” because I am paid towards the top of my band and you wanted to be able to give merit/bonus pay to team member(s)…etc.” Even he doesn’t reply to email, at least you’ve documented the discussion in case you need to consult with an employment lawyer.
Can you ask for quantification of the sometimes? The rationale feels odd, unless I am misunderstanding?: "I can't give you a raise, so I am downgrading your performance"
In a past role my leadership said " LS exceeds expectations, and would be elligible for X% but budget for FYXX is capped"
It’s all subjective no examples or metrics given just vague blanket response
