Congrats! That’s incredible. Your main focus should be networking, and it will come pretty easy there. Go to talks, linger after. Go to the sponsored beaches and events and intro yourself while you’re grabbing a free coffee. Let your producers know you are going, they should be able to help get you invited to some fun parties. Don’t forget to see the work!

Go to the award shows. Watch all that great work. Get frustrated. Channel that frustration into motivation and win a gold lion next year.
Not related but whoever laughed reacted is probably a jealous butthurt banner maker
On your first day go to the Ritz and look at the drink prices. Use that as motivation to network as much as possible to avoid paying them.
Maybe see the work and talks too.
See the work. See some talks from people you think you will learn from. (The boldface celebs often have nothing to say, and you can probably spot a pay to play PR event from a mile away. Try to meet up with people you admire. People are more open minded and receptive at the festival. Register for the Google and Meta beaches - they host interesting events and it's nice to drink a complementary smoothie and charge your phone.
Ignore the FOMO. There are more events than anyone can manage, and the most prestigious are reserved for CMOs with big media budgets.
There is a ton of practical advice about what to wear, how to look after your health, safe travel, but that can wait for later.

Get blasted on coke, take your shirt off and start a fight with a couple of CCOs. Hope this helps.
Omg, huge congrats!! Never been so no advice, but this is amazing. Network, network, network— get your next big pay bump or promo from this.
Go to the parties, meet people, network and have fun. Get your team on a day trip somewhere.
Drink some rosé.
Extend your stay. Take the next week off after and go somewhere in Europe.
Follow your CCOs or ECDs lead. I assume they’ll be there to party and network though.
Condoms.
over RSVP to all parties to have options. It's more just your name is on the list that a local is working. Ask your media team to connect you to your largest partners. the concerts require you to get there very early.
go to talks that interest you. good conversation and great networking
Food is way better in the local area on the east side of town. if you are paying, go that way for meals.
Great networking so see where the night takes you. Which is often Gutter bar which is just drinking in the street. I would avoid early AM meetings. We were never home before 3am.
Extend your trip to take advantage of the free trip.
Went one year and it was incredible. Asking myself “Do I have time to take in the Anthony Bourdain talk AND still get to the Alejandro Iñárritu session in time?” was one of those truly unique moments.
Bring something you can hand out and/or be diligent about getting everyone’s info and following up a few days later as they’re leaving Cannes. I know business cards aren’t really our “thing” but in your case it will help everyone who meets you and is impressed by you to actually follow up and maybe even hire you if they have a need.
Not that it's easy but hopefully you get to a great idea while finishing as quick as you can cuz you're gonna be cooped up 2 days of the festival working on the competition.
Make sure to go to some workshops too or portfolio reviews where you can mingle with people. that's how i got an interview with Droga5 when they were at the top of their game.
