Good morning all. I need to talk and mention no names. So I have worked dialysis and nephrology my entire career. After a back injury (I have had a few surgeries before that and way more after) I started working in a nephrology office. That office is changing and we are getting medically understaffed. There's been no talk of what all of the employees are supposed to do, but, im not waiting on the ish to hit the fan. I want to totally change and may have an opportunity I know nothing about WC. 🤔

When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Hello all, I work full time as an RN at the VA. I’ve been looking for a side hustle to do on my own time. I would love to review cases such as prior authorization, records for 2nd opinions, etc. The positions that I come across generally require a commitment of at least 24 hrs which is not feasible. Just completed my last shift in the ICU. I'm glad to be shifting back to the Maternatity ward. It was exhausting, and emotionally draining working with such sick patients. I know the work we did made a big difference, but I'm glad to go back to my favorite role!
