Tech stack:- JavaScript, Angular

What to call myself? Small In-house design group for a larger corp, 15-16 years in various roles. Primarily, my work has shifted to animation, 3D rendering, video editing, motion graphics, experimenting with interactive graphics for marketing use, etc…further and further away from the Graphic Design Specialist II on my corp profile.

Wondering mostly how to sell higher ups and HR on furthering the SME role I’ve built, rather than pushing into a leadership role for advancement/raises.

Does anyone have an Employee Separation Files Management process or policy they can share. It might include collecting files from hiring managers.

This is a pretty broad question but: any tips on getting your resume seen by a recruiter/hiring manager without a referral? Does reaching out to people outside your network via LinkedIn really work? How would you suggest tackling the job market today?

When being stealthed, If the firm gives someone X amount of time to find another job and will continue to pay them until that time runs out, but asks the lawyer to alert them when they find a replacement position (presumably ending the pay?) is it wrong to not tell that firm right away? Any consequences to doing so? Sorry not sure about the logistics of such. Thanks

I’ve just went through a very tough interview process at a top BB - the hiring MD wants to call me tomorrow. Is this a good sign?

Additionally, I’m also recruiting for a top PE shop. If given the chance, I’d perhaps take the PE offer, but am afraid that if I receive an offer from the BB, it may expire before I finish the process at the PE shop.

How should I respond to a (hopeful) offer given by the BB tomorrow?

I was offered a job with a company who offered $30k less than I’m making now. I was prepared to take a pay cut for the opportunity but asked for a $10k reduction because I’m not a high earner yet so it really makes a difference.

Eventually we (the CEO and I) shook at a $20k reduction on the understanding that they would pay for my gym membership as it’s my biggest expense, and I was upfront that it costs $4k a year.

Today they reneged on the gym element as they don’t offer that..
