If you looking for just a job and want to feed mouths and have avg dreams, join big4
Im from a very humble background so having been part of one B4 firm has been a blessing!
Rising Star
3 job offers in this environment is quite remarkable
D2 - It's my network. I don't know if I'd get an interview with just submitting my application.
Old people protecting their pockets everywhere. If you are young and ambitious big4 isn’t the place. Pathetic people strategy. No change in evaluation approach in decades (rest of tech and many consulting companies already changed to true impact)
This is true !! Use it as a springboard
Ultimately comes down to the local office you’d be joining and the teams you’d be working on. Would join the team with people you think youd like to work with.
Of those 3 brands Deloitte is #1.
Deloitte isn’t number one. I used to think having Deloitte on my resume will open doors which it did to boutique consultings, other than that no one cares.
You may consider EY-P as I joined Deloitte from EY. And I can tell the real big diff is the culture and way people reacts. Leadership is the same b’s whether it’s big four or boutique they all measure you how much rev you bring etc (given your are at the managerial level).
None of these. They make you work long hours while the cream goes to leaders.
Only pwc is missing from this equation
I guess they don’t like me :)
EYP is the best in M&A.
EY's practice works differently than Deloitte. At Deloitte partners from across all practices are incented to share opportunities because they track managed revenue separate from sales credit. EY's M&A practice is insulated from their other service lines, so partners won't involve others because they'll have to give up their credit. It results in some weird behaviors.
How many YOE?
Actual Parthenon or just regular EY? Also which M&A practice - pretty broad. There’s strategy, diligence, IB, etc
Primarily IMO but with the opportunity to support other parts of the deal lifecycle (M&A Strategy, ODD, IMO).
Industry focus OP?
I don't think at the Manager-level, you have to declare a "major" at any of the firms. But I'm leaning towards tech.
EY-P is the only one I haven’t seen bad headlines from lately 😭 not sure if thats a sign of success or of a good PR department
I think you know EYP is the way to go 😁
