Is getting the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) Certification worth it? I could see it opening many doors but should I just shoot for my MBA instead? Have about 3 YOE

FRM is offered by the GARP, which is one of the less reliable certification organizations. They used to offer an ERP certification, but they stopped because they weren’t making enough money from it.

Do you really want to spend the time to study for a certification that could be discontinued because it becomes less profitable one day?

You make a good point. Do you have any certifications in mind that would be ideal for someone working in risk?
