A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. I had a call with the HR on 11/17 wherein we discussed about my salary expectations and the HR said he will get back in a day. It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Did i miss the chance ?

During the pandemic I lost my job and was desperate. I found a 5 month tax law internship to full hire and applied.

This was our convo.
Me: …I graduated from law school a few months ago…
Interviewer: so I’ll be paying you $15/hr if you’re hired… I’ll let you know in a week
Me (in no position to negotiate): umm… okay
*3 months later*
Interviewer: You’re hired! However it will now be an unpaid internship, are you still interested?
Me: *ghosts*

The stamping process was initiated but it couldn't complete as the USCIS offices were shutdown die to the pandemic. I have watched patiently about all the regulations Trump Administration brought in to deny any entry to H1B applicants who weren't already working in the states or who were waiting to return.
