I have 5 years exp in (GCP cloud predominant for 3 years now) DevOps field in Financial Services area including FinTech (Fidelity Investments), Bank (HSBC) & Insurance(CNA Insurance - currently working). I've had people recommend brushing up on cracking the PM code but there's SO MUCH information out there and it's hard to figure out if I'm looking at the right thing or not. Please share resources that helped you get into PM roles (bonus points if you work at companies like Amazon and Google).

How long do offers vs rejections take post interview ?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

4 years sober today. So much to reflect on, not least of which how important it is to “get comfortable getting uncomfortable”. In my experience, it’s truly the only way forward.
