Interviewed at Deloitte, PwC and EY for Advisory Senior Consultant role. Deloitte offered $105K (plus $5K bonus), PWC offered $127K (plus $15K bonus) and EY offered $155K (plus $10K bonus). Surprised with the difference in pay between Deloitte & EY for same role. Is Deloitte Advisory paying less compared to other firms? 4.5YOE in Consulting.

Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

Partner isn’t worth it. Go FAANG.
I would take the FAANG offer. Given partnership is a few years away, you never know what might change between now and then..take what you are getting now if it aligns with your interests.
I would stay and make partner. I would use the faang offer to negotiate a better base. Seems like they are really invested in your growth and development and they would likely match your offer.
My $0.02.. Go FAANG. We get into a tunnel thinking about partnership when these roles can offer a way better WLB for an equitable comp. Hey, if you want the title (and if that matters) power on through. You need to think 10 years from now if you are a partner versus in your FAANG trajectory, how happy will you be..
One is guaranteed, other may or may not happen. IMO FAANG is always better, unless partnership is your career goal.
Sounds like a good offer but depends on the number of years of work ex you have, location of the offer, and equity refresh cycles at the firm
17 years, work experience L7 role, still need to understand refresh cycles.. but current vesting is split across 4 years (25% each year)
Agree w above - get pship. If FAANG co didnt work out for some reason, you'll always have pship on your CV
Got it. FAANG not a bad option in short term - seems to be covid downturn resistant so far, consulting firms could be under pressure
Location/will you have to relocate?
Nope, no relocation
You could stay at the beast you know than the one you don’t.
OP, I’m actually looking at something similar. Would it be ok to directly chat about your experience?
