Got an offer today that has base 3 k lower than currently but the bonus is slightly higher than what I get now (and more guaranteed from what I understand). So like 7-10k more TC I estimate. Realistically I think I need 15 more k base to seriously say yes. Would you negotiate in this position? Or just say thanks but be frank about the salary requirement (that is 5k outside their range) and to keep you in mind for future positions.

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. Rates are better (and no origination fee) with private and very likely won’t take advantage of the protections offered with fed loans— but after seeing how uncertain the world can be with COVID/financial crisis, it does make me take pause.
