They expect professionalism from us but show none in return. Ghosting is cowardice, plain and simple.

Agree with AA1 - would be unacceptable on our end. Good luck, you deserve better!

I had that and it turned out I wasn't actually ghosted the company had a ton of hurdles to the hiring process. The manager finally called me about 2 months post interview to see if I was still interested, and I was. Then a job offer came and then I began purchasing a house right before the official offer came. I had to decline because their processes are sooo slow and I had to make decisions.
It was their loss, not mine. Keep moving and don't stop for someone or some company that isn't making time for you presently.

I had the same experience and it felt horrible. I wish employers realised how much hope people pour into the process. I move on by reminding myself their silence says more about them than me.

I hate to sound like a cliché, but what goes around comes around. These individuals may be in our position one day; they don’t stop to think about that
It isn't professional by any standard and is definitely not what will be expected from you.
On the plus side you saw the red flag and may have avoided significant frustration later on but bottom line you deserve better! I wish you could get your time back.
Hopefully you will find the position in which you are appreciated. You are worth respect 💯
Totally agree with you. It takes them 30 seconds they got another candidate. It's disappointed and frustrating for us. We lose our hope and feel like giving up.

This just happened to me too! Rude as all heck. At least give us a courtesy communication.
Unfortunately being ghosted is the norm in the healthcare industry from rhesus recruiters!
As another commenter said, they expect professionalism from us, yet cannot be on the same page, just to ghost you. Well I have had 4 interviews myself and I have got a response from 3 of the 4, the 4th I am waiting for by the end of the week. There were 2 positions I met all criteria for, there denial to me was that I have no experience. That was clearly conveyed on my resume i am newly certified. However, if no one will give me a shot, how can I prove myself and get experience? Keep your head up, continue applying, someone will give you a job.
A friend got ghosted for the actual interview with the manager! Turns out she dodged a bullet with that one! I had just started out at the job and eventually learned that my manager (the ghoster) was nuttier than Grandma‘s homemade fruit cake!
How long has it been? I'm not going to defend the behavior, but I do know that in healthcare things move at a snail's pace. You may still get the job. Have you reached out?
Ghosting shows a generalized lack of maturity. In more crude terms, it is cowardice. it is a sign of the times and current generations in charge of hiring and recruiting. Has nothing to do with you. It is your right to be bitter, just don't let it discourage your search.
Is it possible they ran a background check on you (or any other type of 'check') between the interviews and email and now?
I personally think that there are far more candidates for the tech jobs than there are jobs. I can't explain the bad manners.
