Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte
After 2 rounds of interview (1 hour each) , Deloitte usi hr is telling me that due to organisational restructuring the offers are on hold. Got a salary discussion call last Thrusday (no pre hire survey) . Last working day in a week. Any suggestions? Cloud Data engineer CBO unit Deloitte Deloitte USI

Unless you know Japanese your career will probably stall unless you move, but as I'm sure you know layoffs are rare in Japanese banks. Are you at an age where WLB or prestige matters more?
You can probably get back to the Japanese bank, but will you be able to get back to the Eurobank?
My Japanese is at biz level.
I am not married and I am in my late 30s.
I dont mind bad work life balance but I have been starting to think about the job stability and security.
More and more I think about the job and technology, I think AI is likely to replace me within next 5 years...
So I am leaning more towards to Japanese bank...
But am I thinking too much about the AI?
OP: pick the one with the most satisfying daily deliverables, a boss you think is a good person/could learn from, in a city that you could see yourself enjoying life.
It is really hard to know a person is a good manager or not with just one meeting/interview. But both managers seemed like they know what they are talking about.
I am a bit surprised seeing that a Japanese bank offers a good work life balance. I worked for a major corporate Japanese bank in London and let me tell you, the working hours were absolutely brutal, especially if they bring their expats .
I'm thinking the same, how you know that work balance is true, take the higher $ that is going to be under contract!.
Hi OP, I'm the guy from earlier asking if you knew Japanese. It's hard to respond to your comment directly so I'll just post again.
Since you know Japanese and have worked at a Japanese bank then why not try the Euro bank? You can always go back to the Japanese bank later.
I don't think AI will take your job yet, especially at foreign banks where technology adaption is slow.
Thank you for coming back. I believe you are right on 'you can always go back to the Japanese bank later.'
Thank you very much for your inputs!
How do you obtain international offers like this? One of my biggest goals is to be able to work internationally
i worked for mufg it was a sweat shop.
MUFG is a sweat shop. And I am not talking about MUFG but smaller bank.
try the european bank it’s different culture.
It must have been really bad if you think BoA is an improvement.
I think you should go with the European Bank, the culture is better and they also offered you better package … I am European myself and worked for a Japanese Conglomerate, bureaucracy is unimaginable not that the European Banks don’t have it but the Japanese culture is more extreme. Also, within the Japanese firms it’s very hard to move up the ladder, the key roles are mainly given to Japanese locals that relocate from the headquarters and they prefer to do that .. very conservative culture. They’re super smart and they always seek perfection so you can def learn a lot from them but again if I were you I’d stick with the Eurob given it is a big one and widely known.
Dutch banks are good banks and they should have nice company culture. As a future goal, you can relocate in Europe for secondment. Good luck!!
go with the one that has all the comp is close. mufg lays off all the time so they do lay off.
I agree that MUFG lays off all the time. But the offer came from smaller bank.
are these vp level or director
good base for vp.
Great opportunities
👍
