Saw “global associate creative director” today.
The best part about this is that the post is from a senior copywriter. The hypocrisy is mouthwateringly good.
It’s not hypocrisy, it’s irony.
I just made Senior Friend Group ACD 🥰

I wish there was an associate senior associate to the associate creative director.

If you add ‘senior’ to ‘creative director’ , you’re mainly showing that you didn’t make GCD and are frustrated about it.
If you see a VP in front it’s largely irrelevant. That’s the one term that has zero consistency. Was long used as a “bump” without the salary bump, or the actually title bump.
In house a VP, SVP or EVP can call run the creative department but depends on size and type of agency, company etc. nothing makes sense anymore.

Global junior creative director
In some agencies it's kind of a GCD title
they should make the titles more fun. i propose junior CD instead of ACD.
Outside the US you’ll often see “Deputy Creative Director” which is exactly how it sounds. You’re basically the CD’s right hand and often lead an account. A CD in training who takes the helm when the CD is busy or away. But this is usually at agencies with one or very few CDs.
