Been working for my company for over a year now. 14/15 months. Started me at 48k after college. No pay increase yet, I travel and do sales for an engineering company. Projects and products I sell can range from 5k-4million. But I don’t make commission, and neither do my co-workers. We’re a relatively small company. Where do I start the conversation with my boss on commission? And what are some of you other account managers/traveling sales people make?

I was once at a dinner with a second year analyst, consultant, and partner, and the analyst said he planned on retiring by 30 and the partner and consultant laughed. I find myself asking why I am in NYC when everything is so damn expensive. Making good money, but limited on savings and quality of life due to the HCOL. Or recs for other cities for that matter.

HYPSM ug in econ, 3.7gpa, GRE 169v/163m. 4 years exp (age 25) on matriculation (2 MBB, 2 int development). No promos.

ECs: founded social enterprise, journalism (on health, environmental inequities etc) at top pubs, published academic research, 4 yrs volunteering as advisor for social entrepreneurs. Recs good not amazing.

ST career goal = social impact VC; LT = social entrepreneurship.

MIT Sloan ($$$) vs. GSB (no $)? Post MBA goal is MBB or FAANG PM.

I see a lot of the applications state that (in the event you can’t take the GMAT due to COVID) a minimum GMAT score will be required if admitted as stated in the admissions letter. Any guesses on what a minimum GMAT score would be for M7?
