Litigators—how many different cases are you on?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.

Producers & Creatives: when reviewing reels for a project, what’s your strategy? First few spots only, watch spots based on brand or thumbnail, well known company or director name first and foremost?

Producers: how good are you with sharing the shortlist with reps if their submitted directors/talent didn’t make the cut?

Reps: do you feel it’s wrong to submit Freece directors for jobs over your paying rostered clients? If the lead isn’t a fit for your rostered clients is leaving the opportunity (and potential money) on the table the “right” thing to do or are you stuck feeling a sense of loyalty to the producer seeking talent?

Reps, you have a client who you’ve had for less than a year. You’ve helped them secure a couple small jobs in that time span. They book a big job with an agency that isn’t a house account but certain producers and clients at that agency are noted as house accounts. The job came through a reco from one of those house account producers. Do you charge the full 25k commission, even though you didn’t really have a hand in the sale, and the client already had a strong relationship with the agency?

West Coast and Midwest reps who actually get consistent food and tabletop boards, where you at? I’ve got a director with a great reel of mostly over delivered low budget work, but a strong client list. I’m looking for someone who is a go to resource for agencies with these tops of jobs. (See wheresspot for thread) While I hope be didn't contract Covid on either of the 2 sets mentioned prior to his illness and death, if it comes back that he did, we need to have a long hard chat about what went wrong.
