Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

You just need to review the 17 COSO principles and then make sure you can talk through examples of each one as it applies to the client’s environment. For example, ask what kinds of internal and external communications they have internally and externally, respectively, and get examples of those and that addresses two of the principles right there.
Read the PY narrative, understand the control points in the process, look at the support received during the previous WT. If the process hasn't changed then you would need to obtain/observe the same evidence but from the current period under audit. Also, ask you senior or manager, you shouldn't be going into this blind and they should be giving you direction.
The old 2.7 screen in eAudit should have info about the entity's controls already. It is basically just reformatting to separately list each control. You should probably try to complete the ceramics workpapers before the walkthrough with info that you already know about the client and then the walkthrough is just filling in the gaps. I hate that there are individual word docs for each control, so made an excel file listing each of the questions from the word doc in column A, then in column B I listed the first control, filled in the cells with the exact wording that I wanted to include in the word docs, did the same for the second control in column C, and so forth. During the walkthrough I filled in the blanks. Then I sent that file to the GDC and had them fill out the individual word docs for me.
Also for public companies we used to have an excel file on ALex named ceramic to coso mapping which is helpful for private companies as well. Your client's ceramic controls shouldn't change much year over year so maybe you just need to read through the py documents and list each of the controls out in an agenda for your meeting and make sure the support that you are requesting for each one is included on the main PBC list or a separate request list that is sent to the client.
