Need advice. Very Shy guy and girl, met a while back for a side hustle both like each other a LOT, relationship has progressed in other areas but not in the physical realm, primarily because neither officially asked the other out. Guy is a very rough around edges, asked for a date by saying ‘anytime you need breakfast or lunch, let me know’. I am an independent gal and didn’t like the way it came across. I really want to take this forward but am out of ideas on how to make a date happen.

Tax senior with CPA at small firm. Best way to get to Big 4 audit? (LA or OC) Went to non-target so little to no alumni at B4. I don’t mind the switch to a lower title since audit was always my preference and was never a fan of tax (stayed local for family).

Jumped from public to a job in a place run by boomers but I just wanted out of public so I took the first offer that came to me. 5 months in and I realized it's not a good fit at all. I feel like I need a career coach because I am considering switching jobs but I don’t know where to go or where to start. I feel really overwhelmed and don’t know what I’m qualified for. Does it sadden you to see coworkers leaving your firm? If so, how do you cope with it?

We had evaluations and normally we have annual raises. I think my salary is under market value at $68k (plus OT) in Los Angeles (5 years of experience). I was told I am one of the top employees in the firm. When I asked about a raise, I was told “when you think about it at your level 5k to 10k doesn’t really matter it’s the long term goal that matters”. What would be your response to that, to a partner who is making 500-600k a year?

If minimum wage is increased to $15 dollars, what else do you think will be affected? Do you think other salaries will increase, do you think there will be a jump in prices, or will there be no changes besides less people in poverty?

Can you change your 401k contribution amount specifically for bonuses, in the fidelity 401k? You can do this for Schwab 401k but not seeing an option for fidelity
