Please Help your inputs helps me
Hi All
I am a fresher and joined infosys Nov 2021 in campus placement.
Now has 11 months of experience. I am planning for MS in Jan intake
If I resign now notice period is 1 month, but if I complete 1 year notice period is 3 months?
My visa is not yet approved, I am confused now whether to resign or stay?
Is there any buy back notice if it is there what is the process?

It’s worse when he’s not older than you AND someone else from a different dept asks you constantly if you’ve checked your work with that supervisor. Like, “that’s great but has [name of male supervisor] seen it?” That kind of distrust and ass-covering is something will never get past. Like of course I’ve done my due diligence so please don’t check up on me.
I had a guy from Comms Strat yesterday explain to me how to setup an idea in a deck. Like, how to step it out and the importance of it. After I’d said twice in the meeting I set it up this way to get it past our CCO. And, I’ll set it up differently for the client.
I’m a CD (the title’s old). It was so uncomfortable. Ugh.
Oh, and then he sent the ideas to other people just to see what they thought without checking with creative first. And, all the ideas were out of date. Double Ugh.
Being micromanaged sucks. Being micromanaged by people in a completely different department than you, with less experience than you, unlocks a whole different level of rage.
Oh, and to answer your question, yes. I’ve been treated that way. I got told I was petulant, in fact.
Wish I could tell you it gets better. But, at every level, you’ll have some a$$ hat who thinks they know better than you. No matter what you know. 😪
You’re not gonna like this, but I have found most of your peers (I’m assuming you’re early 20s?) do need to be taught basic office and client etiquette. If you don’t, good on you, but know you are the exception amongst your peers. Use that to your advantage! My advice is to play nice with this guy, smile and nod (and roll your eyes in the inside ha) but then keep showing up and being polished. People will start to notice and it will get you far in this industry.
You don’t feel weird giving someone feedback on something they haven’t done, just based on the actions of others?
I can’t imagine ever doing that with my direct reports.
I focus on issues that actually come up.
I understand a pep talk with tips based on what you’ve experience but the way OP describes sounds condescending and mansplaining af.
I do agree if he is the boss or has power over OP, it’s best to smile and nod. But I would struggle to conceal my natural reaction ‘Wtf?’ 🤣
op both those examples would make me cringe. what did you say? i vote for a nice deep, long stare next time he says something like that vs a passionate I KNOW!!!!!
I work remote, so I just "like" reaction the message or nod and continue with my tasks
That’s so weird and annoying!!
I feel like my unavoidable natural reaction to anyone saying that would be “well, yeah of course! I always say thanks/wear headphones” and look at him like he’s crazy.
Depending on how secure your job is and if he’s not your direct boss/doesn’t have power over you, I’d have a hard time not making fun of him for that or at least point out the mansplaining in a laughing way.
If safe to do so, maybe ask the other women you both work with if he does this with them too, if you want to commiserate.
Good luck! Sorry you have to deal with this ass
Yea, that would be my natural reaction too, but unfortunately, he's my direct supervisor :/
